Our San Marco Rings find their inspiration from the precious mosaics on the floor of the Venetian Basilica, an extraordinary polychrome of rare and precious marbles that extend for over 2.000 square meters.
The Basilica dates back to the second half of the 11th Century, when Byzantium was still the main reference point for architecture and sacred art in Venice. San Marco was in fact erected according to the byzantine style, with a Greek cross layout and decorated with precious mosaics that cover walls and domes in addition to the floor.
CōDICEDS jewels are the result of manual processing and finishes that give each object a unique set of characteristics. Therefore replicas of the same model may not look identical and any differences that may result are not to be considered as flaws.
